Batman's Catalog of Super-Powers: The Death Touch

Last week, I talked briefly about how Batman overcame the notable shortcoming of not having any super-powers, and--through sheer force of will--started flying.

Wel heads Up, Criminal Element! That's not all he's bringing to the war on crime!

The Ancient Art of... Dim Mak

Yes, according to Brave and the Bold #169, Batman--who can pretty much be summed up as "a super-hero with no power who doesn't kill people"--can kill you with the slightest touch.

That's just how he rolls.

  2. So in order to avoid an ass-kicking by Batman, all you need to do is have a heart attack? Weak, Batman. If you're not willing to beat up a guy having a heart attack, that's going to totally ruin your street cred.

  4. This reminds me of that Simpsons episode in which Bart got in trouble for claiming he had learned the Touch of Death in at karate class.

  6. It kind of looks like Batman was just reaching out to lovingly stroke the dude's hair.

Him and Man-Thing should have some sort of deadly-finger face off. My money's on Batman.

  7. If you want to get technical and spoil all the fun, Dim Mak isn't only a death touch. The death touch part is only a small part of it, since it is all about pressure points.

One strike can make your arm useless, stop your beathing, give you terrible aching, cure joint pain, give you a head ache, or relax your bowels. It's all about controlling your attack to do exactly what you want to happen.

Death is only a side effect, and I'm sure Bats wouldn't go that far. There are so many other, more fun, things to do to criminals.
