the basics
"Chris works at a comic book shop so he reviews all the latest releases, but the real awesomeness lies in his ability to find obscure or forgotten comic books and write hilariously sarcastic reviews that make fun of them. They deserve it!"--Blair Butler on G4 TV's Attack of the Show!

That's some serious business.

That's badassery at it's finest, gentlemen.

A thing of beauty.

Is it me, or did Det. Bard put his shoes on the wrong feet before his face-kicking escapade? That foot to the face looks like his left.
I'm also trying to figure out if it's supposed to be a front kick or a crescent kick he's supposed to be doing.
8/16/2006 9:58 AM
That's way more blood than I'm used to seeing in your usual comic book kick to the head.
8/16/2006 2:08 PM
Doesn't Bard have a bum leg? I remember him hobbling around with a cane in the '70s. Or is this not the same guy?
8/16/2006 8:28 PM
Same guy, but the bum leg's the other one.
That's what makes this kick all the more special
Also, the blood on display (such as on Jason's arm) isn't all from just the kick.
It was, indeed, a hell of a fight.

For the record, that's the bloodiest kick-to-the-face panel in my archives.
8/16/2006 11:05 PM
Right now I'm imagining Chris's archives indexed with categories like "kick in the head" ; "punching" ; "throwing car battery" ; "freaking towards outside".
8/17/2006 3:22 PM
That's surprisingly accurate.
