What Exactly Is Going On Here?

Aside from the no-charge funnybooks, Free Comic Book Day also means that I got the pleasure of pulling a twelve-hour shift down at the Wiz today, leaving me in a daze not unlike a hangover. Although admittedly, that may have been all the celebratory drinking.

Therefore, this will have to do:

The sheer poetry of that cover cannot be denied.

That is genius. I can't figure out why they didn't keep on drawing Superman like that.

PS>Lois is frickin' hottt. Just had to get that out there.

I think I've been to this wedding. It was in Missouri.

Cutler beat me to it. I don't usually go in for women in wedding dresses/pointy maiden hats, but Lois is smokin' on that cover.

Could it merely be the contrast bewett her and the gnome? I somehow doubt it.

What, exactly is so horrible about marrying a gnome? With that kind of attitude, she'll be lucky to do better.

ragnell: that's impossible. here in Missouri, we call them "shrimpies", not "gnomes".

A "GNOME" Superman in a "Lois Lane Presents the Superman Family GIANT" comic book...

I know it isn't irony, but it tastes like that thing that people call irony anyway.

Or is the "giant" their kid or something?

Is the Lois-Marries-SuperGnome considered in continuity post-Infinite Crisis?

It fucking better be.

When I look at that cover, and study the Gnome Superman, all I can say is this:

I've got a hunch those kids'll work it out.

Thank you! Thank you! I'll be here all week! Don't forget to tip your server! Try the veal!
