Weekend Violence!

Because nobody's reading on Saturday anyway, please enjoy Ten Pictures of Batman Uppercutting Thugs:

Seriously? That guy loves to punch.

BONUS FEATURE: I'm 90% Sure This Guy Is Dead

Check out the mug on this guy.

Clearly, there are only two possibilities here: Either this man is absolutely thrilled to be in Batman's chokehold, or Batman just totally killed that guy. Readers, I'll let you decide.

Boston Brand is obviously possessing the guy and taking his opportunity to mock Bruce when he's not looking...

Ah. The "pretty arbitraty reason to hit someone" was a little bit of brilliance.

A smorgasbord of Batman beatings only improves any weekend.

In panel 9 - is Batman punching out Ronald Reagan?

Come to think of it, a "Batman punches out the Presidents" one-shot would be a pretty good buy...

I assume Batman had a good reason for punching a cop in the third panel?

Either way, it was pretty awesome. Batman doesn't throw enough uppercuts these days, what with his kung fu, and judo, and Bat-Plot Device Weapons.

Wow! He's actually punching PEOPLE instead of dogs for a change! And tossing off witty bon mots all the while.

Oh that Batman. What a kidder.

I've noticed that Golden Age Batman (and I think this is unique in comic-book history) pretty regularly hits people so hard that it makes his logo disappear off his chest! I mean Holy Shit!

He uppercuts a dude and says, "hmm you didn't shave today," classic!

Considering how often Bats fist "flicks out", and given the printing of the times, I;m surprised he didn't get censored.

I think the guy is thrilled to be in Batman is chokehold. I mean, now he can tell his criminal buddies "dude, I got TOTALLY choked by Batman." That's pretty cool.

As one of those poor saps working Saturday, I have to appreciate the two-fisted update.

The first I read the "you haven't shaved" panel, I thought to myself, "Self, Batman is now so proficient in the manly art of smacking a dude with an uppercut, he can tell if said dude hasn't shaved. And, apparently, he can tell through his Bat-gloves."

It gave me pause, it did.

That last panel looks like a scene from Weekend at Bernie's: Gotham Getaway.

Holy terror, Batman! The Dark Knight Strikes Again!

All-Star Batman and Robin punched out everyone's momma, if that helps.

The world needs more men like Batman in Washington. Punching is a forgotten art.

I'd comment on yours, Campbell, but--oh, wait. You haven't done anything in four days.

Why does Batman shy away from the camera in most of those panels? Are they not getting his good side?

Sims, your quotation of Maude Lebowski may have gone unnoticed by most, but not me! You can't get anything by me! Hah!
